For anyone that rolls in the comedy community, one of the best moments of the year is when everyone in the comedy biz gathers at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal for the ComedyPro week. There are shows, mixers, panels, awards shows, live podcasts, keynotes, and for the last 20 years, Andy Kindler ranting about the industry in his annual State Of The Industry Address. For about an hour or so in front of the industry, Kindler airs grievances about people, shows, tours, managers, comics, and pretty much anything else that's irked him for the last 365 days. Kindler doesn't hold back, taking on all comers, skewering everyone including himself.
Comedy Dynamics announced that it will release the very first State Of The Industry Kindler ever performed at Just For Laughs in 1996. The album will be released on all digital streaming services and retailers on February 17th.
