After one season on the air, Showtime has decided to cancel the Jay Pharoah show White Famous. The show was averaging a modest 1.8 Million viewers. Despite a the star power backing of Jamie Foxx, the show wasn't able to raise its profile enough. This isn't terribly surprising as the show premiered around the same time as the other Showtime freshman half-hour comedy SMILF that was renewed pretty quickly after premiere while news about White Famous was quiet.
Upon the public news of the show's cancellation, star Jay Pharoah tweeted his fans, thanking them for support.
The fans love @SHO_WhiteFamous and so do we, thank you all for the support, love y'all so much for taking to the show.. To BE CONTINUED!
