Issa Rae’s Max comedy Rap Sh!t was all set to premiere this summer. However, the streamer announced today the premiere has been shifted until November.

What's the show "Rap Sh!t" about?

The series Rap Sh!t “follows two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion), who reunite to form a rap group and are forced to decide if they will stay true to themselves or conform to the demands of the music industry.”

Why is season two of "Rap Sh!t" delayed?

The move comes as the studios and streamers are starting to push more and more premiere dates back, in the hopes that the strike will be over by then. The WGA and SAG strikes prohibit the cast of a series and a film from promoting the project, which in turn can hinder its overall performance.

The new date for the show’s second season premiere is November 9th on Max.
