This Week in Comedy: Archer is returning for its 14th and final season. The animated comedy series first debuted on FX back in 2009, and quickly built up a cult following amongst loyal fans. In the final season season, “Archer and The Agency are finding their own way with Lana at the helm. Her goal is to make money while also making the world a better place, but she quickly finds out running a spy agency isn’t so cut and dry.”
Also this week, Todd Barry is coming out with a new comedy special, Domestic Shorthair. Filmed at The Den Theater in Chicago, Barry “touches upon lawyer hecklers, TV doctors like Sanjay Gupta, learning how to cook on TikTok during the pandemic, AirBnb listings, printer tech support, cooking competition shows, a slide show presentation and more.”
Finally, 800 Pound Gorilla also has some of our own comedy specials coming out this week. First, Sasheer Zamata’s special, The First Woman, debuts on our YouTube channel. Then on Thursday, Bob Rubin: Oddities and Rarities premieres on our YouTube channel.
