Every time a comedian hosts Saturday Night Live, they usually do the best thing, and that's perform stand-up comedy. John Mulaney was the show's host this past weekend and he took the opportunity to have a very NY-centric set for a very NY audience. Including even a Woody Allen story.
SNL is a funny experience when Mulaney hosts. As someone whose written for the show, he has a lot of insight on the show. In the days leading up to the show Mulany takes to social media and shares some stories about his time writing on the show. Additionally, last time Mulany hosted, he revived two 10 year old sketch on the show and it turned out to be a complete hit. This time around he again revived not one, but two former sketch ideas and got them on the air and they were some of the best of a night that was chock full of solid sketches.
