Jim Carrey is teaming up with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry to bring a new original series to Showtime called, Kidding. Carrey stars as the the character Jeff, better known as Mr. Pickles, an iconic children's television personality, like Mr. Rogers. Mr. Pickles is multimillion-dollar empire. But when Jeff's family begins to implode, he finds no fairy tale or fable or puppet will guide him through the crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. So as Jeff's personal life begins to fall apart, so does his professional one. It's Carrey's first television role in over 20 years, the show also stars Catherine Keener and Judy Greer.
Kidding premeires on Sunday, September 9th at 10pm on Showtime.
