Comedian Cameron Esposito tells us about her new Seeso show, Take My Wife. It’s a fictionalized take on Cameron’s real life with her wife Rhea Butcher. You can now watch it exclusively on Seeso.com There will be plenty of awesome comedian appearances on the show in season one including Kurt Braunohler, Ron Funches, Paul F. Tompkins, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and Maria Bamford.
“I really think it’s a first of it’s kind,” says Esposito. “Not only because it’s about two comics in love and trying to have a family business, which happens to be comedy, but that it’s about two lesbians who DON’T DIE!”
Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher are having quite the year, not only as a couple, but as individuals. Esposito has appeared on NBC, CBS, Comedy Central, TBS, IFC, E!, Cartoon Network and HBO Canada. She’s appeared in films at this year’s Sundance and SXSW Film Festivals, and in Garry Marshall’s Mother’s Day alongside Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson. She released her debut stand-up special, Marriage Material, earlier this year. Not to mention, got married.
As for Rhea Butcher, 2016 has been just as big of a year. She’s appeared on @midnight with Chris Hardwick, had her debut Conan performance, and is about to release her brand new album, Butcher, on Kill Rock Stars Records August 19th. Also, Butcher will be a recurring performer on the truTV series Adam Ruins Everything. She’ll also continue to host the popular web series She Said on Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls Network.
