Hear Tim Heidecker’s latest protest song, “Mar A Lago”

Comedian / accomplished musician Tim Heidecker has been releasing anti-Trump jams over on his Bandcamp for the past few months, and he’s just dropped another one: a vibe-y ode to “Mar A Lago.”

Half Beach Boys-inspired, half Jimmy Buffett fantasy, “Mar A Lago” is, of course, an ode to Trump’s most frequented vacation spot (so far), gaudy Florida palace Mar A Lago. And it’s not hard to tell which side Heidecker’s on, with lyrics like: “So call up the tower and tell my wife and son / have the taxpayers fuel of the Air Force One / put in place the press embargo – gotta be left alone to fun and sun in Mar A Lago.”

Tim and Eric co-creator Heidecker has released albums before — including another political parody album, Songs in the Key of Cain, and the more recent, more serious solo album, In Glendale

Heidecker donates all profits from album sales to charity; his last, Trump Tower, went to benefit Standing Rock, and this track is for the Everglades Foundation.

And if you missed the handful of jams he released last year — like “Cuck” and “Trump Talkin’ Nukes” — here’s a playlist compiling all Heidecker’s protest songs (take a listen but remember, all proceeds from his Bandcamp go to charity:
