Last night, actor Billy Crystal visited Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the performer revealed something even more legendary than his decades-long career in comedy: a clip of himself racing against late night host David Letterman on a 1978 episode of early reality show Battle of the Network Stars.
Crystal competed on the show -- which made celebrities run through physical challenges -- three times (on network ABC's team), and he hosted the event once, in 1979; it was on his second appearance that he faced off against David Letterman, and Crystal pretty much creams him in the obstacle course round.

During his visit, Crystal also talked about the injury that made him reschedule his last Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance (spoiler alert: he hurt himself while sneezing) -- and afterwards, he stuck around to make a pizza with Kimmel and Chef Chris Bianco. Fun!
