Cameron Esposito was working on a new stand-up special and she got that sucker out fast. Rape Jokes is Esposito's new hour that came together in a super-fast period of time. Literally in the span of a few weeks and it's available today.
On May 29th, the comedian Tweeted: "ive been playing 50-100 seat rooms all over the country, working on an hr about sexual assault as a survivor, Last week we shot the hr in LA. June 11 the special will be released as a fundraiser for a rape crisis org"
If you're good at math (God knows we're not) that's about 3 weeks between taping the special and releasing it. As of this morning at 9am, you can stream the special over at Vulture.
Esposito put together an hour about sexual assault (hence the title) and she wanted as many people as possible to see it, setting up a pay-what-you-want scenario with proceeds going to RAINN, America's largest anti-sexual-violence organization.
