Donald Glover bought 113 boxes of this Girl Scout's cookies because she remixed his song

Earlier this week our office got a bit obsessed with a cute little Girl Scout named Charity Joy who recorded a video with her father telling people to buy her girl scout cookies. She remixed Childish Gambino's killer song, "Redbone" and laid down some Girl Scout cookie sales pitch and then shared it on social media where it's been viewed millions of times and Charity blew past her goal of selling 5,000 boxes.

Watch it, it's impossibly cute. In fact, watch it twice, it will make you smile.

Of course, this video was probably sent to Childish Gambino himself, Donald Glover who found it incredibly great. Glover's been out and about to promote the season 2 premiere of Atlanta and last night during his stop at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert he was asked what he thought of the video from the late night host. Glover was happy that Charity Joy was not only from the Atlanta area but joked, "I never was like, 'I'll make this and then one day a little girl will sell Girl Scouts Cookies to it,'” about the song.

Colbert invited Charity Joy out to meet Glover who purchased the remaining 113 boxes of Thin Mints Charity needed to meet her goal. They then gave out a bunch of cookies to the Late Show audience.

Maybe the world isn't the dark, cold place it sometimes seems.
