Fans of Derek Water's alcohol-infused show Drunk History are in for a treat. To celebrate the show's six seasons, an art installation of hand-crafted dioramas will take place at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, taking visitors on a trip through the popular T.V. show called the Museum of Drunk History. It opens today and runs through January 20th, admission is free and open to the public.
“For five seasons Drunk History has provided viewers with a humorous take on our glorious past,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center’s President & CEO. “We’re thrilled visitors to the Paley Center will have the opportunity to experience season six through this original and fun exhibit.”
Fans of the show are constantly talking about their favorite moments from the show so Comedy Central decided to give them the opportunity to experience them in person at the museum. This is done by creating intricate dioramas that represent each episode of season 6 which premieres on January 15th. Scenes include “The Creation of Frankenstein,” “The Occupation of Alcatraz,” and “Murderess Row” - the story that inspired the play/movie Chicago. They're large in detail and will also contain Easter eggs.
“It’s great to finally be in a museum,” said Drunk History host/creator Derek Waters.
