FLORIDA MAN STRIKES AGAIN

This weekend in Naples Florida, comedian Ahmed Ahmed had a weekend of shows performing at the Off The Hook Comedy Club. The next day a guy in the audience decided to call the police on Ahmed because he was being a comedian on stage. When Ahmed asked how many people from the Middle East were present a bunch of them called out. Because he's a comedian and that's what comedians do, Ahmed made the joke on stage that "We could organize our own terrorist organization." A funny joke for the Egyptian-American comedian to make to break the ice and develop a report with the audience. It's actually a tactic many comedians like Ahmed have to do to put audiences at ease - acknowledge the thing everyone is thinking, get the laugh and now the audience is out of its head and paying attention.

Then, the next day after the show, some guy in the audience (who is definitely not Middle Eastern) felt compelled to call the police and report the "suspicious behavior." The local NBC affiliate of Naples (again in Florida) got a hold of the 911 call, and get a load of this ass making this phone call. NBC-2.com WBBH News for Fort Myers, Cape Coral & Naples, Florida

The cops ended up going to the club to discuss the situation with Ahmed. Ahmed posted on Twitter, "An audience member called 911 on me because 'they feared for their lives' over a joke I told on stage. That's never happened to me or any comedian I believe. F******* crazy man. The cops were even like 'WTF.'" He later added "terrorists don't do meet & greets."

This afternoon, he called into Adam Carolla's Podcast and they went over the story. Clarifying what the joke was and talking about how crazy the story went on social media. Carolla added that it was unfortunate that he had an encounter with a "nutty Floridian."

People, when are we going to learn that you can't just call 911 because you feel uncomfortable in a social setting?
