This past year, fans got what they had been waiting for. The adult animated series Futurama was revived on Hulu for a brand new season, its first in years. Now, the cult series has been picked up for two additional seasons (season 13 & 14)!
The series stars returned for the new revival, including John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman.
Back in July, the Emmy-award winning show premiered season 11 on Hulu. Hulu revived the show after it previously ran on Comedy Central from 2010-2013.
Catch me up on season 11 of Futurama.
In case you need a catch up leading up to these two new seasons, here's a brief synopsis on season 11.
“New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler's litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy's tadpoles. Meanwhile there's a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.”
While there’s no timeline currently for the season 12 premiere, if we had to guess, we’d say sometime in 2024.
