Paramount's documentary series, I Am continues with its third installment I Am Richard Pryor. Thus far, the focus has been comedians with Chris Farley and Sam Kinison serving as the two entries.
For the third one, they're covering a bonafide legend. If there's a Mount Rushmore of comedians, Pryor's face is on it. The film will make its world premiere on March 12 at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin and will debut March 15 on the Paramount Network. I Am Richard Pryor is directed by Jesse James Miller and explores and celebrates the life and career of a man who lifted himself out of poverty and became a bonafide legend. Miller tells the late comedian's story through interview with his wife Jennifer in addition to other high-profile funny comics, writer, and producers like Mike Epps, Sandra Bernhard, Ron De Blasio, Tiffany Haddish, Howie Mandel, Lily Tomlin, Rocco Urbisci, Jimmie Walker and others.
