Ian Karmel Offers “Comfort Beyond God’s Foresight” in New Special

Comedian Ian Karmel has been a rising name in comedy for the last several years. Between his work as a stand-up and a writer (and eventual frequent onscreen presence ) on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Karmel has proven himself to be a unique voice in the comedy space.

Now, he’s coming out with his debut special, Comfort Beyond God’s Foresight. In the special, Karmel takes audiences on “a voyage through Italian fascism, Vampire Weekend, sleep apnea, a ruined brunch, the Cheesecake Factory and a drunk texting story that will leave your jaw on the floor.”

The special - produced by 800 Pound Gorilla Media - was taped in Karmel’s hometown of Portland, Oregon. In addition to stand-up, last year he also published a memoir titled, T-Shirt Swim Club: Stories from Being Fat in a World of Thin People.
