Jerry Seinfeld is one of the ultimate comedians of our generation. So it's no surprise when the folks at Netflix shelled out millions of dollars to bring his next stand-up comedy special to the streaming giant. They also went the extra mile to roll out the special, including a new title and release date.
The special, Jerry Before Seinfeld popped up on a new branded Netflix Comedy Instagram rolling out Jerry's special over a series of 9 posts, to create the pack art, and some teaser audio and video to boot.
There's a theme to the special and a reason it's called Jerry Before Seinfeld in that it's a mix of new material (taped at The Comic Strip in NYC where his career launched) interspersed with previously unseen material from a library of legal pads full of all the jokes the comedian wrote since 1975. As well as childhood videos, and some heritage jokes he told that helped make his career.
