Hot on the heels of Columbus Day, John Leguizamo dropped a trailer for his upcoming Netflix special, Latin History For Morons. A one-man show he's run on Broadway the last few months and earned a "Best Play" Tony nomination for his effort. The special sounds exactly like the title suggests, Johnny Legs running through the history of Latin history for the layman. Similar in the spirit of Colin Quinn's one-man shows of late, and very much in the style of how Leguizamo's previous specials have been with the comedian acting out life as it relates to him.
Leguizamo examines 3,000 years of Latino history with a rapid-fire lesson in overlooked Latin history, charting everything from a satirical recap of Aztec and Incan history to stories of Latin patriots in the American Civil War, revealing how whitewashed history truly is. Latin History for Morons premieres Monday, November 5 only on Netflix.
