Jon Stewart will co-host "SportsCenter" live this Friday night

If you've missed seeing former Daily Show host Jon Stewart on your TV, tune into ESPN's coverage of the Warrior Games tomorrow night to catch the comic co-hosting a special edition of SportsCenter.

Along with Face to Face host Hannah Storm, Stewart will present an hour of coverage live from the Games, which have been going on all week; the event features wounded, ill, and injured military veterans competing in typical Olympic events, with teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), plus members of the United Kingdom Armed Forces and the Australian Defence Force representing overseas units.

Stewart is the perfect person to co-host the event, since he's responsible for getting it on ESPN in the first place. After attending the Games last year, Stewart told the Chicago Tribune, he felt that “[i]t was great, but it was [just] the athletes, their families, their caregivers and it felt like something that the public should be involved in. On the way home, I was saying, ‘This is where the cameras should be, this would be perfect for ESPN.’ And my son just said, ‘Well, why don’t you call them?’”

Here, legendary journalist Bob Woodruff sits down with Stewart to talk about how the military, our veterans, and the New York Mets have all impacted the comic's life:

This won't be Stewart's first time making an appearance at an athletic event -- let's never forget the time he took on John Cena during the 2015 WWE Summer Slam.
