We came, we saw, we drafted our butts off. Last Friday The Laugh Button set up shop at The Javits Center at New York Comic Con to host the first-ever Superhero Fantasy Draft. We wrangled some of our friends, Janet Varney, Seaton Smith, Danny Tamberelli, and Luis J. Gomez to host a fantasy sports-style draft for each of our panelists to select their own super team-up.
There was stealing of team members - Danny stealing The Flash from Janet, who just stole it back. Seaton pulled a final round steal of Wolverine from Luis J. Gomez.
The crowd weighed in on some selections, picking Supergirl for Janey Varney, Buffy The Vampire Slayer for Danny Tamberelli and Ant Man for Seaton Smith. Perhaps the biggest reaction of the night was when the audience selected Squirrel Girl for Luis J. Gomez.
Some came prepared, others flew by the seat of their pants. When all was said and done, the audience crowned Janet Varney the winner with her super team of Jean Grey, She Hulk, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Supergirl.
NY Comic Con you were a total blast, can't wait to do it next year.
