Melissa McCarthy steals the show with Sean Spicer impersonation on "Saturday Night Live"

Melissa McCarthy stole the show on last night's episode of Saturday Night Live debuting the character of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer for the show. As with most things McCarthy does, she attacked the character with ferocity, humor, and a heaping amount of physical humor. Judging by audience applause, it even took them a moment to realize it was McCarthy. An improv vet who always channels the spirit of the late, great Chris Farley when she shows up on the show. It's weird how little physical humor is on SNL these days, it becomes evident even more when we watch sketches like this one emerge.

It seems this sketch quite possibly might've been the show's original cold open. If it was, thankfully it wasn't scraped and used because we have ourselves a new SNL classic sketch.
