Steven Soderbergh is taking us into the past for a new series. In fact, he’s taking us all the way back to… the year 2023.
Today, Soderbergh surprise dropped the new trailer for a secret series he’s been working on, Command Z. The post-apocalyptic series follows Michael Cera as an oracle of sorts who is sending a team into the past to hack into the brains of people in 2023 and undo history. To get into the past, they will do so via a wormhole in a high-tech washing machine.
The series stars Michael Cera, Roy Wood Jr., Chloe Radcliffe and Liev Schreiber. And if our eyes are correct, we think we even saw a brief cameo appearance from Stavros Halkias in the trailer…
The new series will debut on July 17th and be available on Soderbergh’s Extension 765 website, where you can also view the trailer.
