A few weeks back, Mike Birbiglia announced a
Fall tour for his new comedy special,
The New One. He also just launched a fun companion podcast to the tour called
The Old Ones. On the five-episode limited run podcast Birbiglia is joined by some of his comedy friends and past collaborates to discuss his previous comedy specials. Each episode dedicated to one special. The guests scheduled for each episode include John Mulaney, Pete Holmes, Judd Apatow, Mike’s brother Joe, and his wife Jenny.

Mike Birbiglia here. To celebrate my new tour THE NEW ONE I created my own five episode limited podcast called The Old Ones where I discuss my old albums with some old friends. I was lucky enough to wrangle John Mulaney, Pete Holmes, Judd Apatow, my wife Jenny, and my brother Joe, and the episodes really are kind of a blast.
I’m releasing two TOMORROW, which you can subscribe to now (the link is below) and then one per week for the next three weeks. They’re free. There are no ads. And they’re really a fun listen. I never really wanted to do a podcast but now that I did I’m very glad that I did.
I hope you like it and I’ll see you out there on the tour. This month I'm in Chicago, Bloomington, St. Louis, then Charleston and Atlanta. I’m announcing twenty new cities this week and working on a plan for an extended run in New York City. I will let you as soon as I know when that’s gonna happen.
