New documentary, "It's Not That Funny" examines the relationship between comedians and mental health

SoulPancake and Funny or Die have been at work on a new documentary about mental health and the comedy community. It's called It's Not That Funny and it features many comedians discussing how anxiety and depression shaped their world view as the main thesis of the doc attempts to figure out if mental illness effects comedians an how it drives their lives and careers. The doc features the likes of Sarah Silverman, Chris Gethard, Rachel Bloom, Baron Vaughn, Rainn Wilson, Rikki Lindhome, Wayne Brady, Neal Brennan, Aparna Nancherla, Anna Akana, and Sara Benincasa discussing their relationship with mental health. The film is set for a summer release.

Additionally, Chris Gethard went deep into his battle with mental illness in an HBO special. Days before, he sat down with us and taped a podcast discussing it all, it's a great episode if we say so ourselves.
