One Mississippi is a dark comedy inspired by comedian Tig Notaro's life. Notaro returns to her hometown in Mississippi, where she contends with the death of her mother and her own mortality as she embarks on a painful yet hilarious journey that unearths uncomfortable truths about her family and her self.
The show, which streams on Amazon, has now been renewed for a second season according to Deadline. One Mississippi was co-created by Diablo Cody and co-stars creator Notaro, Noah Harpster, John Rothman, and Stephanie Allynne. Notaro, Cody, Robin, M. Blair Breard, Dave Becky, and Louis C.K. will be Executive Producers for season two.
