Well, if at any point in 2018 you thought to yourself, "Self, there are just not enough stand-up comedy specials out there. I sure wish there were more." Well, prepare your ass for sitting because Netflix is set to drop 47, yes 47 stand-up comedy specials on your asses on the first day of 2019 called Comedians of the World.
Earlier this year the streaming giant announced plans to drop these specials all on the same day as part of a masochistic plan "stand-up comedy event" where they taped the series of half-hour specials at various locations around the world, including a handfull of specials at Just For Laughs Montreal this past summer as well as at venues in São Paulo, Mexico City, Mumbai, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Resulting in a wide mix of international specials that will bee released in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Dutch, German, and English.
