Ryan Gosling is completely tortured by Avatar's bad font in "Saturday Night Live" sketch

We consider ourselves minor fans of design around these parts. Well, at least enough that we came up with a t-shirt design that "fixed" the Comic Sans font by making it in a different font (Helvetica). So you could imagine the feeling when we witnessed what was easily one of the best sketches of Saturday Night Live this weekend when Ryan Gosling became obsessed with the graphic designer who basically took the crappy font Papyrus and just passed it off to the world. Delivering the instant classic sketch with the line, "Every day I wake up and remember that Avatar, a huge international blockbuster, used Papyrus font for their logo and no one stopped them." A line that came directly from SNL writer and comedian Julio Torres, who was clearly kicking around the idea for this sketch for a while if you note the timestamp on the Tweet.

Ahem, we're not saying the idea of naming the sketch after a font and using a different font is an original idea, but... well, you saw the t-shirt.
