"Saturday Night Live's" Aidy Bryant stars in new Hulu series, "Shrill"

Here's a first look at the Aidy Bryant Hulu series, Shrill. The comedy is loosely based on the memoir of the same name written by writer Lindy West in 2016. Bryant stars as Annie, a young woman attempting to make it in the city as a journalist as she deals with a personal life full of ill parents, bad boyfriends, and a world around her that thinks less of her because of her weight. Annie starts to become more confident in herself and her skills as newfound journalistic fame comes with its own problems... online trolls.

As you can gleam from the trailer, not only does the show star Aidy Bryant, it is also stars Daniel Stern and Julia Sweeney as her parents. We also catch glimpses of comedians Joel Kim Booster (well photos of him) and Jo Firestone in the show. Bryant co-wrote the series with West and Alexandra Rushfield. Elizabeth Banks and Lorne Michaels serve as executive producers.
