What Sean Spicer thought of Melissa McCarthy’s "Saturday Night Live" appearance as him

Melissa McCarthy definitely won this weekend. With a big ad run during The Super Bowl and a hurricane-like drop in on Saturday Night Live, she was everywhere in a funny and positive way. While we know our current Commander-In-Tiny hands watches SNL to see how he's being made fun of, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is a different story because his character had never been on the show before. Would he find it funny? Would he angrily tweet about it?

Spicer spoke to AJ Calloway from Extra at the Super Bowl on Sunday and asked what he thought.

Explaining that he’d first heard about the sketch while leaving church Sunday morning, Spicer said his texts had been blowing up so much he thought there must be a national emergency.
Spicer told Extra exclusively he felt the impression was a little exaggerated. His advice was that McCarthy “needs to slow down on the gum chewing; way too many pieces in there.” Though he thought it was a really “funny” show, he felt that McCarthy “could dial back” a bit.

Dial it back, really?

Take note, the real reason we wanted to write this story was really so we could post this gif of McCarthy going HAM with the podium into the press pit.
