“Ted Lasso” cast talks about mental health at the White House

Yesterday, the White House press briefing room got a visit from the cast of Ted Lasso.

During the visit, Jason Sudeikis gave a speech about the importance of mental health, as well as looking out for one another.

“I know in this town, a lot of folks don’t always agree,” he said, “and don’t always feel heard, seen, listened to. But I truly believe that we should all do our best to help take care of each other.”

The appearance was then followed by Sudeikis taking a question from a familiar voice: Trent Crimm, the popular journalist character on the show. Crimm asked about Kansas City – hometown of Sudeikis – being named a hosting city for the 2026 World Cup.

He answered, “What I am genuinely worried about is that once we get all these folks from all over the world to come to Kansas City, and see our city, and eat our food, meet our people — you’re going to have a lot of folks that won’t want to move away.”
