Last night at the Academy Awards Mike Myers and Dana Carvey made a special appearance at the awards ceremony to present the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody which was up for best picture. Myers and Carvey re-created their characters from the film Wayne's World as they stated how it was a high honor to be associated with the Queen song of the same name. The film would not take home the best picture prize but actor Rami Malek took one home for beast actor for his portrayal of Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury.
For a large portion of Generation Xers out there, we first heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" via a certain scene from Wayne's World. For those unfamiliar, in the opening credits of the movie Wayne Campbell (Meyers) and Garth Algar (Carvey) head out into the night in Garth's Gremlin while singing along and perform the now infamous head bang along to song in the car as they head out for the night out in Chicago on a Friday night.
