Batt-le! Batt-le! That familiar yell returns to the Comedy Central airwaves this week. Hot on the heels of the Roast of Bruce Willis, Comedy Central will air a new season of its other roasting show, Roast Battle beginning this Tuesday night. The new season was taped this weekend in Los Angeles and will feature judges Anthony Jeselnik and Nikki Glaser joining the Roastmaster and judge Jeff Ross as they judge head-to-head competition from Todd Barry, Pat Barker, Nicole Becannon, Matthew Broussard, Keith Carey, Kim Congdon, Alex Duong, Joe Eurell, Olivia Grace, Tony Hinchcliffe, Jerron Horton, Mike Lawrence, Joe List, Joe Machi, Connor McSpadden, Kurt Metzger, Sam Morril, Jamar Neighbors, Mark Normand, Eli Sairs, Yamaneika Saunders, Jason Sklar, Randy Sklar, Sarah Tiana, Sarah Tollemache, Robin Tran, Brendon Walsh, and WWE wrestler Dolph Ziggler. Roast Battle co-creator Brian Moses will again serve as a host and referee for the shows as well.
This year they opted to go away from the bracket style competition they've deployed in years past, opting for focusing on some killer head-to-head roasts instead. Two battles per show and the season will end with a competition between NBA All-Star Blake Griffin and Jeff Ross. Comedy Central also teamed up with Starburns Audio to produce a companion podcast that will be hosted by Moses and DJ Coach T, both of whom are integral in the history of Roast Battle growing it from humble beginnings and continually running it as a weekly show in the Belly Room in LA's Comedy Store. The podcast debuts on Comedy Central’s Global Podcast Network beginning on Monday, July 30.
