Monday’s the day when we all celebrate all things the luck of the Irish with St. Patrick’s Day. With the annual festive holiday coming up, we thought we’d take a look at three specials from Irish Comedians to watch this weekend!
Des Bishop
In the age of social media and going viral, comedian Des Bishop has found a way to make waves with his unique brand of humor. The comedian came out with a new special, Of All People, last year. In the special, he “walks us through what it was like growing up with little supervision, landlines and being part of the 'remember stuff generation' with his head full of old phone numbers.” Check out his latest special here.
Vittorio Angelone
In 2023, Irish-Italian comedian Vittorio Angelone came out with his debut stand-up special, Translations. In the special, Angelone talks about a wide variety of different topics, including being Irish in England, identity, and the sad comedy shows that seem to win awards. You can watch his debut special here.
Foils, Arms, and Hog
Whats better than one comedian? Three of them! Foils, Arms, and Hog are a premier comedy group in Ireland, carving out a solid reputation with their love of absurdism and all-around silliness. Their special, Swines, features a fun mix of different sketches, and has been widely acclaimed. You can watch them in action here.
