The sun has set on Smoot High as truTV has decided there will be no more seasons of the half hour comedy, Those Who Can't. The show was created by, written by, and starred the Denver comedy troupe/trio, The Grawlix - Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy, and Andrew Orvedahl. Portraying three likeable but inept teachers in a fictional high school in Denver, CO. The three comedians shared the news on social media today that the show would no longer and the recently-wrapped season 3 was its last.

It's been a long journey for the show as they conceived the idea in Denver then it was an early Amazon Studios pilot in what seems like moments before streaming really took off on the platform. It was later picked up by truTV after Amazon passed on the pilot.

The trio and co-star Maria Thayer played the main group of teachers as the likes of Rory Scovel, Kyle Kinane, Susie Essman, Cheri Oteri, Baron Vaughn, and Patton Oswalt would drop in as regulars.

When Ben Roy shared a video about the news Kinane stated, "When these guys asked if I’d be in their show, I said yes without asking. It was a no-brainer. Thank you Ben, Adam, and Andrew. It was an honor and a privilege, (and probably a felony when I had to run down the hallway of Van Nuys High nude in a cock sock that wouldn’t stay on)."

“The last thing you saw our characters do on #ThoseWhoCant was run off towards the sound of an ice cream truck. Like children,” Cayton-Holland wrote on Twitter. “We didn’t know that would be the final moment of the series, but it’s actually kind of perfect.”

If you'd like to take a trip down memory lane, we had the gang on The Laugh Button podcast back when season 1 was set to premiere.
