The upcoming Ren & Stimpy documentary teaches us the origins of the LOG commerical

Last week we reported that a new documentary was in the works to discuss the cultural impact of the iconic 90s cartoon The Ren & Stimpy Show. The Kickstarter for the flick is going extremely well (you should donate some $$ to the cause). This week we have an exclusive look at the documentary and it's a great one. In it, award-winning cartoonist/artist Bob Camp breaks down just how he and the show's creator John Kricfalusi came up with the idea for the iconic song, LOG. Turns out they were really trying to fill a minute of airtime and they ended up writing one of the show's most memorable musical interludes.

Happy Happy, Joy Joy: The Ren & Stimpy Story documentary is currently raising $$ to finish the project over on Kickstarter. And seriously, you should visit the page and support, particularly if you are a child of the 90s or have watched an animated show since. Chances are they owe something to Ren & Stimpy.

And, if you aren't familiar with the finished product, here it is. Good luck getting this song out of your head for the rest of the day.
