Comedian Drew Michael's had a very productive last few years. He's had a half hour on Comedy Central, released an album on Comedy Central records, he spent some time writing for Saturday Night Live, and had a small role on an episode of Jerrod Carmichael's terribly underrated sitcom, The Carmichael Show. Now Drew Michael is reuniting with his pal Jerrod Carmichael for his first HBO comedy special. Carmichael directed Michael in a special that's a bit of a departure from the traditional stand-up special, opting for no audience and for Michael to deliver his material in a sparse room intercut with what looks like actual act outs. Will it make you laugh? Will it be perceived as performance art? We're not sure, but we do know that it's an interesting concept that we'll all get to see play out HBO on August 25th at 10pm.
