Ray Romano is putting out a new stand-up comedy special. It's been 23 years since he last released one and (this sounds routine right now) the folks at Netflix have coaxed him out of retirement. Romano is no stranger to the clubs around NYC as he often pops in for some stage time. So it's not surprising that he decided to tape his special at his home club, the Comedy Cellar, something a few comedians are doing these days.
Romano's special, titled Right Here, Around The Corner is two "surprise" sets the veteran comedian is dropping on NYC comedy audiences, first in the Comedy Cellar's main room, then literally walking a few hundred feet around the corner to the Cellar's larger room at The Village Underground. Watch the teaser trailer where Romano breaks it all down. You'll also catch glimpses of NYC comedian Jon Fisch (the emcee that brings Ray up) and Comedy Cellar owner Noam Dworman (sitting next to Ray at the table).
Right Here, Around The Corner premieres on Netflix February 5th.
