There's plenty of activity happening this week on television. Since fall is officially here we're seeing the rollout of plenty of season premieres and just as many series premieres. Perhaps most notably, the premiere of The Opposition w/Jordan Klepper. Klepper, a former correspondent on The Daily Show is taking over the 11:30pm timeslot right behind Trevor Noah in a slot that's been long vacant since the cancellation of The Nightly Show a little over a year ago. Comedy Central is hoping to once again capture a bit of the ol' Colbert Report charm with Klepper taking an absurdist look at right win politics.
This week also marks the return of Saturday Night Live and they're coming out swinging with Ryan Gosling returning to host and hopefully not crack up in a sketch with Kate McKinnon in it. Also, New York's own Jay-Z is handling musical duties.
It should also be noted that it's awesome to see that the one and only Big Jay Oakerson will also be on Conan. The comedian has performed stand-up on late night before, but this time around, he'll be paneling with Conan, which is a first for him. Congrats Jay.
