Stand-up comedian and actor Willie Macc has announced the release of his latest comedy special, Good Dad, Bad Father, coming exclusively to 800 Pound Gorilla’s new streaming service Gorilla Comedy+.
Willie shares, "My dad raised me with scripture. I raised my son with vibes. Good Dad, Bad Father is my commentary on the gap between the two.
In Good Dad, Bad Father, Willie delivers a brutally honest, funny, and personal performance about becoming a dad before fully becoming an adult. Produced by Super Nice Guys and recorded at the Kukooburra Lounge in Hollywood, Willie humorously unpacks the truth about imperfectly raising kids while continuing to grow in his own life.
“It’s about fatherhood, church trauma, growing up Southern, dating, mental health, ADHD, trying to be a good man and realizing that sometimes you can love your kid and still have no idea what you’re doing,” says Willie. “A lot of my comedy comes from real-life pain, confusion and mistakes. But instead of making it heavy, I try to make it hilarious.”
Good Dad, Bad Father will be available only on Gorilla Comedy+ on June 22, with a worldwide premiere slated for July 21 on 800 Pound Gorilla’s YouTube channel.
