Zach Galifianakis' "Between Two Ferns" movie coming to Netflix this September

Between Two Ferns, the Funny Or Die web series created by Zach Galifianakis and Scott Aukerman 10 years ago will see new life as a Netflix movie this September. The web series has starred Galifianakis (before he was a household name) as an interviewer on a talk show where he asks bumbly yet dickish questions of his guests. Major celebrities and political figures including Barack Obama have been subject to Galifianakis' questions.

Titled Between Two Ferns: The Movie will take us a bit beyond just the show we usually see on the computer screen, the official description is as follows.

“Zach Galifianakis dreamed of becoming a star. But when Will Ferrell discovered his public access TV show Between Two Ferns and uploaded it to Funny Or Die, Zach became a viral laughing stock. Now Zach and his crew are taking a road trip to complete a series of high-profile celebrity interviews and restore his reputation. Directed by Scott Aukerman, Between Two Ferns: The Movie is a laugh-out-loud comedy that gives new insight into the curmudgeonly, beloved outsider Zach Galifianakis has created over the years.”

There's no official word yet on who will appear in the movie as guests but there's been some preliminary buzz that we might see the likes of David Letterman, Peter Dinklage, Keanu Reeves, Ed Helms, and Bradley Cooper appear in the movie.

Set the calendars for September 20th.
