Adrienne Iapalucci Returning To Netflix For New Special, "The Dark Queen"

Stand-up comedian & writer Adrienne Iapalucci has announced her next comedy special, The Dark Queen, premiering on Netflix November 12th.

In The Dark Queen, Iapalucci "takes aim at our public figures, awkward tribute tatoos, cirtue signaling & more in this unfiltered stand-up special." Taped at the Comedy Cellar in New York City last fall, the seasoned comic assembled fellow comics & frequent collaborators Louis C.K. & Ari Shaffir to direct & produce the new special respectively.

Ahead of announcing The Dark Queen, Iapalucci previously teamed with Netflix for her 2019 set on the stand-up series The Degenerates & was previously featured on the streamer's Best of 2020 Stand-Up Special. The upcoming special follows the release of her critically acclaimed comedy album, Baby Skeletons, in 2020.

For CK & Shaffir, this new special marks both of their latest returns to sitting behind the camera for a stand-up special. CK previously directed Robert Kelly: Kill Box & Barry Crimmins: Whatever Threatens You, while Shaffir most recently produced Sal Vulcano: Terrified & Big Jay Oakerson: Dog Belly.

When does "Adrienne Iapalucci: The Dark Queen" premiere on Netflix?

The new stand-up special premieres globally on Netflix November 12th, 2024. Set your reminder here!
