Andrew Dice Clay was, of course, one of the biggest names to break from the 80’s comedy boom. He wound up selling out arenas across the country. Over the years, Clay has also proven that he can hold his own as an actor in films like Blue Jasmine and A Star Is Born.
What's Andrew Dice Clay's "Warrior Strong" about?
Clay is now starring in a new film, titled Warrior Strong. In the film, “following Bilal Irving, a professional basketball player returning to his small, Northern Ontario town of Dumont. He re-connects with his former coach, and conflict ensues as they both struggle to put their egos and complicated pasts aside to mentor the town’s only basketball team.”
While Clay has had roles in supporting films over the years, this marks his first starring role since 1990’s The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. That film was not a success either with critics or at the box office. Over time, however, it did develop a small cult following.
The film debuts in theaters & digital on September 29th.
