Comedian Michael Kosta joins "The Daily Show" correspondent crew

Stand-up Michael Kosta is the latest comic to join The Daily Show with Trevor Noah's team of correspondents, Comedy Central announced today. He'll make his first appearance on tonight's episode.

Kosta is coming on board a few months after the news that correspondent Jordan Klepper is making the movie to his very own 11:30pm timeslot, with a new daily news show that'll debut in October.

The stand-up is no stranger to Comedy Central: he had his own episode of Comedy Central Presents back in 2011, and recently hosted the network's Snapchat show, "Worst Birthday," based on his podcast of the same name. The former host of Fox Sports show Crowd Goes Wild and E!'s The Comment Section, Kosta is quite comfortable on air, which will help him tackle whatever insane stories his new job as a Daily Show correspondent will have him covering.

Kosta's latest album, Comedy for Attractive People, is out now.
