Michael Kosta makes his "Daily Show" debut with this piece comparing Alex Jones and Gwyneth Paltrow

Yesterday, news broke that comic Michael Kosta had been added to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah's team of correspondents, and last night he made his very first appearance with a hilarious desk piece comparing off-the-rails right wing radio host Alex Jones with actress and health guru Gwyneth Paltrow.

Sounds like a very random pair, right? Not quite. As Kosta shows, the conspiracy theorist and the Hollywood star have quite a lot in common (beyond astounding un-self-awareness): they're both obsessed with supplements, though they sell them in different wayson their websites -- for example, Jones peddles maca powder as a "Super Male Vitality" enhancer while Paltrow (along with upscale LA health spot Moon Juice) markets the same exact product as "Sex Dust."

Kosta got a huge reaction from The Daily Show crowd when Noah introduced him, and the stand-up couldn't have been more confident as he breezed into his piece, proudly displaying a blank piece of paper he claimed was a legit doctoral degree and flashing a disarming smile whenever he dropped a particularly offbeat point.

We can't wait to see what Kosta brings to the desk next!
