It’s hard to imagine that it’s been over a decade since the last Scary Movie came out. In the early 2000’s, those films were successful enough to spawn multiple sequels, with the Wayans Brothers (Keenan Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans & Marlon Wayans) being involved for the first handful of films. Now, we’ve learned this week Scary Movie 6 is on its way.

As announced at CinemaCon this week in Las Vegas, Paramount announced the news ahead of their panel. The news we’ve heard so far hasn’t been much in terms of a writer, director, or cast. All we do know is that production is slated to start shortly with a 2025 release in mind.
We will share more news about the film as it comes out. Given the trajectory, we expect to learn more in the coming months.
