Andy Kaufman will finally be getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
Next week, Kaufman will be receiving the honor with Kristen Schaal and Kevin Nealon on-hand to speak about Kaufman and his influence. His brother, Michael, will also be there accepting the star on Andy’s behalf.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame shared their excitement for Andy Kaufman's star reception.
“Andy Kaufman, himself said ‘I never told a joke in my life’ and that was what was so amazing about him. This genius could make people laugh by portraying characters with wide-eyed innocence as if he was having a normal conversation” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “We are proud to honor this iconic man on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and we say to him ‘Tenk you veddy much Andy’” added Martinez.
This year is just getting bigger for Andy Kaufman.
This marks a big year from Andy Kaufman’s legacy. First he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Then it was announced that a new documentary was in the works in connection with his Estate. And now this! It’s nice to see that his legacy as a song and dance man is still alive and well in 2023.
