Fans have been waiting for the next installment of Ghostbusters ever since the reboot Ghostbusters: Afterlife came out in 2021. Well, now the wait is - almost - finally over. We have a trailer for the latest installment, titled Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
The synopsis for "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire."
In the film, “the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age."
In the trailer, we see the cast for Afterlife returning, including Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, and Finn Wolfhard. We also see appearances from the OG cast including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson. To round things out, comedy fans got an extra treat this time around with the addition of Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt. While Jason Reitman didn’t direct this time around, co-writer Gil Kenan stepped behind the director’s chair.
When does "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" release in theaters?
The film hits theaters exclusively on March 22nd!
