Stand-up comedian, actor & writer Graham Kay decided to do things a little differently when making his latest stand-up comedy special. Instead of taping it the traditional way at a staple comedy club or theater, the Canadian raised now New York based comic shot his sophomore comedy special as its title perfectly paints the picture: Live In A Bowling Alley. This laugh out loud hour of comedy is here today at 800 Pound Gorilla & we couldn't be more ecstatic to the sharing this new special that marks Kay's first full length special released in America by the Canadian born comic.
Performed live in the backroom of a Brooklyn bowling alley (The Spare Room in Gutter in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY) for an audience (and one aggressive fly), Graham Kay delivers his signature affable-style of jokes and writing. Starting off with useful life lessons about the things that could go wrong if you set up Google Alerts to talking about the patterns of perpetual exhaustion that comes with modern society.
Live In A Bowling Alley was directed by Dan Bricker (who recently worked on Nathan MacIntosh's Down With Tech) and was edited by Jason Katz and the team at 2 Buffoons (who recently worked on Dan St. Germain's latest special, Dance Fatty Dance).
Leading up to this new special, Kay's performed stand up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon & NBC’s Bring The Funny. The Huffington Post has described Kay's comedy as "Brilliantly funny" and Paste Magazine complements his style as having "impeccable narrative framework."
Graham can currently be seen on his own headlining "Come Or Else" tour throughout the rest of the year as well has supporting the incomparable Nate Bargatze on his on-going Be Funny Tour (whom he's also appeared numerous times on his Nateland podcast).
