Musical comedy ringmaster, Reggie Watts, nods to the turn of the century in his upcoming comedy special Never Mind, premiering on Veeps July 20th at 5 PM PT.
The new special, which is set in the mid-90s, points out just how wild our current situation is from the perspective of only a couple decades ago. With Never Mind, Watts covers all facets of present day including instant delivery services, how Y2K ended up not being the end of the computer grid, the vastness of the internet, The X-Files, Windows 98 and the new Beastie Boys album, through his specialty, improvised musical comedy.
The storied comedian has many coveted accomplishments under his belt, including rising through the ranks as the bandleader of the former hit late-night series The Late Late Show With James Corden. Watts also has a number of specials on Netflix and Comedy Central, including his 2016 Netflix special, Spatial, which received critical acclaim including raving reviews from the New York Times, The A.V. Club, and Exclaim! Magazine. Watts’s solo career has also led to sold-out headlining tours including festivals such as Bonnaroo, Just For Laughs, and most recently, this year’s Netflix Is A Joke Fest.
