Ted Danson is a sitcom legend & comedian who's starred in some of the most beloved comedy series including Cheers & The Good Place. For his newest show, he's re-teaming with The Good Place showrunner Michael Schur for the new Netflix comedy series, A Man on the Inside, premiering on November 21st. Schur is also the co-creator of two juggernaut NBC comedies Parks And Recreation & Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Check out the newly released trailer for the series above.

The new show follows a retired professor named Charles (Ted Danson), who "feels life has nothing new in store for him. A year after his wife’s passing, he’s become stuck in his routine and grown distant from his daughter (Mary Elizabeth Ellis). But when he spies a classified ad from a private investigator (Lilah Richcreek Estrada), he’s inspired to roll the dice on a new adventure, going undercover to solve the mystery of a stolen family heirloom."

A Man on the Inside is based on the documentary The Mole Agent, a 2021 Oscar® nominee for Best Documentary feature that takes place in Chile and follows an 83-year-old widower named Sergio.

In addition to Danson, the show's cast includes Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Stephanie Beatriz (an alum of Schur's show Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sally Struthers, Margaret Avery, John Getz, Susan Ruttan, Lori Tan Chinn, Clyde Kusatsu, Marc Evan Jackson (also from Brooklyn Nine-Nine & The Good Place), Jama Williamson, Wyatt Yang, Deuce Basco, Lincoln Lambert, & Kerry O’Malley.

Schur executive produces the new show alongside Morgan Sackett, David Miner, Maite Alberdi, Marcela Santibañez, Julie Goldman & Christopher Clements.

Ahead of the new series, Danson began a trip down memory lane with the show Cheers by co-hosting the new podcast, Where Everybody Knows Your Name, opposite co-star Woody Harrelson.
